The Adults & Communities Directorate consists of four strands, Adult Social Care, Community Development Public Health and Environment. Our aims are to continue to provide essential and highly valued services and to build capacity to enable local communities to make lasting change, improve quality of life and prosperity. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Recovery and Independence Team for the rapid response element of the service. This will give individuals the opportunity to work with the team and gain experience which would be beneficial when applying for permanent posts

The Team provides a short term (for up to six weeks) reablement service to people in their own homes which enables people to regain as much independence as possible in skills for daily living ( personal care, meal prep, medication, mobility, use of equipment, accessing the community etc).

The team also provide a rapid response service to vulnerable Adults in crisis.
This is a Short Term Care at Home service (up to seven days) to support hospital discharge and prevent admission to hospital or a care home.

The rota is a two week pattern of four days a week and four time periods in the Day:
Week one: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (8.00 - 10.00, 12.00-14.00, 16.00-18.00 19:30-22:00), Friday. Total 36hrs
Week Two: Wednesday, Thursday (am only 8-12) Saturday, Sunday. Total 32.5hr
Hours are worked in four separate time periods morning, lunch, tea and evening; 3hrs, 2hrs, 2hrs, 2.5hrs apart from Thursdays see above in brackets.

The successful candidate will have: numeracy and literacy level one or equivalent and have experience of working in a care/health setting. Full driving license and have the use of a vehicle. RCBC will also purchase any non-car drivers to have the use of an electric bicycle for travelling for the successful applicant.
