A vacancy has arisen within Business Services for a temporary Finance and Administrative Officer to cover a period of maternity leave until approximately 31st December 2022 or until the return of the substantive post holder from maternity leave, whichever is sooner.

Your normal place of work will be Spennymoor Leisure Centre but you may however, be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham

Reporting directly to the Administration Co-ordinator of the Culture, Sport and Tourism Service you will work alongside other Finance and Administration Officers within the team to ensure that all administration and business support functions for the Service are carried out effectively.

You will also work with other staff across the Culture, Sport and Tourism Service to ensure effective service delivery and support takes place.

Working as part of a team providing effective administration support, this is a generic role and you will be required to support financial and administrative tasks such as requisitioning; maintaining databases; income monitoring and debt progression; statistical analysis and reporting.

Experience of financial and/or customer account administration along with excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively are essential.

Required Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent.
