Xentrall Shared Services is a groundbreaking public/public partnership between Stockton and Darlington Borough Councils. Our objective is to deliver excellent services to all, providing support and services to a range of customers including Local Councils, Schools and Academies, and Direct Payment Clients.

Following lockdown and returning to work, the Service is experiencing high volumes of work particularly associated with issuing of contracts of employment, processing of DBS applications and supporting the pre-employment screening of new applicants. We are, therefore, seeking to appoint an additional post for approximately 6 months to help us with this work.

The main duties will involve, assisting with pre-employment checks, including references, occupational health, right to work in the UK and evidence of qualifications. A key part of this role will also include processing DBS applications which can be for either new applicants or existing staff who need their DBS renewed.

In addition, the job will include undertaking a range of tasks associated with contracts of employment and variations of contracts of employment in accordance with legislative and customer requirements. This will require you to have knowledge of local government terms and conditions of employment.
We offer this service to a range of customers and the process and duties will differ depending on the customer requirements.

Ideally you will be CIPD qualified or have an equivalent level of experience. You will need to be computer literate, be able to work to deadlines and work with a very high level of accuracy.

You will also need to demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and promote our service positively. This will require you to be a good communicator.

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work 40% of their working time away from the office.
