An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Housing Solutions Team for the role of Housing Solutions Officer.
Reporting to the Senior Housing Options Officer you will work clients who are Homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will be responsible for interviewing, assessing and identifying homeless prevention options while working with external partners, agencies and other internal sections that will improve outcomes for the individuals and families.
The successful candidate must have knowledge of Homeless legislation and the Homelessness Code of Guidance for local authorities as well as knowledge of Data Protection and confidentiality and an understanding of equality and diversity legislation
You must have experience of working in a housing related field, dealing with people face to face in potentially difficult situations, managing a complex caseload. It is essential that you have effective time management and organisation skills and effective communication skills, work in this service area can be difficult and stressful and you must be non-judgemental towards customers.
It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
