Gateshead Council are looking for an organised and self-motivated procurement analyst who will contribute to the delivery of an excellent analytical information to the procurement service.

Reporting to a Category Lead, you will be responsible for the research and provision of comprehensive analysis on all areas of Council spend and procurement activity, this will be used to inform Category Sourcing Strategies and procurement arrangements. You will be required to analyse and propose potential target areas of spend.

As a team player you will have the ability to develop effective relationship management with a range of stakeholders internally and externally. Collating and manipulating a wide range of data including local and regional spend.

With excellent oral, written and presentation skills you will have experience of designing, developing and producing reports and contract dashboards, to present information, on a departments spend, contracted and non-contracted supplier spend data and monitoring reports including social value data, community wealth building data, carbon reduction data and geographical data.

You are required to have previous experience in an analytical role, providing guidance and support to other officers.

You will also be ICT literate and have experience of manipulating databases and producing reports including Excel reports.
