Post Title: Emotional Well Being Worker

Salary: Grade 7 £23, 541 - £27, 041 pro rata to hours worked

Job Location: an approved team location, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.

The Emotional Well Being Workers are commissioned through Public Health and are based in the One Point Family Centre across County Durham. The Emotional Well Being Workers work with children aged 5-19 and their families, building on the families strengths and using a preventative whole family approach to empower children and their parents, and ensure they are equipped to deal positively with some day to day challenges they can be faced with.

The role involves working with families to complete assessments and family plans, as well as delivering group work programmes with children, young people and parents to build resilience and promote emotional wellbeing. This role also requires the Emotional Wellbeing worker to input and collate data to demonstrate impact and outcomes of their interventions group work programmes . The Emotional Wellbeing Workers are required to use evaluation tools to measure impact and evidence outcomes, in line with the evidence based parenting programmes.

The successful applicant will support children and families to adopt healthy lifestyles and self-help strategies to empower them to achieve a positive outcomes. The posts are located in the One Point Family Centre and the Emotional Well-being worker will work alongside the wider One Point Family Centre Teams.

We are recruiting for 4 posts;

1 x full time permanent post (37 hrs) based in Wheatley Hill and Newton Aycliffe Family Centres
1 x 18.5 hour permanent post - Dean Bank and Tudhoe Family Centres
1 x full time temporary post (37 hrs)- Brandon and Bullion Lane Family Centres - until 31st March 2023
1 x full time temporary post (37 hrs) - Dean Bank and Tudhoe Family Centres - until tbc

Required qualifications:
• Level 3 qualification in a relevant health and/or children’s services field.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
