There is currently an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to join the Out of Hours Service in South Tyneside.

We are looking for a Social Work Professional who has post qualifying experience in the fields of Child Protection work and/or Adult Mental Health.

You would join a highly experienced and motivated team in generic social work and would be offered good support and opportunities for professional development.

For an informal discussion about this post please contact Joseph Robson, Senior Practitioner on 07483 319052.

If the appointed candidate does not have an AMHP qualification, then they would be expected to apply and begin the Approved Mental Health Professional training through Northumbria University in September 2022, which will be funded by the Local Authority.

South Tyneside Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant pre-employment checks.
