Darlington Young People’s Engagement & Justice Service is a multi-agency service tasked with working with young people to prevent offending and re-offending whilst also safeguarding them from harm. The service also supports victims of crime and work to protect the public.
The service is seeking an Intervention worker to help us deliver our service moving forward. This will involve direct face to face work with young people which may include education and activity based sessions.
Experience of working with young people is essential. Professional qualifications are desirable, though not essential. Your principal responsibilities will be:
To develop and co-ordinate a range of programmes and activities aimed at reducing offending.
To assist colleagues within the service in the delivery of various Court Orders and intervention plans
To assist in providing programme details for various Court reports
To facilitate programmes and activities in group work
To perform any other duties as may be required by the relevant Manager.
A willingness to work outside normal office hours is necessary. You will be given regular support and supervision from the Line Manager.
This post is temporary for two years.
