The Governing Body of Overfields Primary School wish to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant for our Speech and Language Unit, with a start date of September 2022. We are looking for a talented and dynamic TA who is committed to making a real difference to the lives of the children in our school.

The post is a permanent part time position. 30hrs per week at Grade D Term Time only plus 5 PD Days

The Speech and Language Unit provides provision for pupils on a full time and part time basis. It consists of:

• Foundation Stage 4 place part time support base
• KS2 10 place full time support base
• KS1 10 place full time support base
• Outreach Provision 10 place

Children are fully integrated with support on an afternoon into mainstream classes at Overfields Primary School.

There is an expectation that the successful candidate may provide outreach sessions to children in Redcar and Cleveland and Middlesbrough schools.

The successful candidate will be a flexible member of a team of three teaching assistants and three SEN teachers. The post will be initially based within the Early Years however experience in both KS1 & KS2 would be an advantage as the teaching assistant will also support language unit pupils throughout school on an afternoon.
