We are seeking a well-motivated, enthusiastic apprentice to work in our busy Catholic primary school. The suitable candidate will work predominately in EYFS & KS1 supporting teaching & learning. We are looking for someone who: • Is committed to the development of the whole child • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice • Has EYFS experience

What will the apprentice be doing?
- The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up the classroom environment and organising resources daily, ahead of the pupils beginning their day.
- They may be required to support our breakfast club on occasion.
- They will support teaching and learning activities, including outdoor learning, under the direction of the class teacher.
- They will be responsible for supervising pupils during playtimes and lunchtimes and supporting pupils with intimate care needs.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting any intervention activities that the class teacher identifies as well as supporting any extra curricular activities when needed.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprentice will undertake an Early Years Apprenticeship Level 3 Diploma across 18 – 21 months.

The training will take place at Gateshead College for one half day a week and there will be an additional half day included as study leave to complete coursework (equating to one day a week off site learning).

At the end of your course, you will receive the Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Career progression could involve going on to study for a degree in Primary Education or Family Social Working.
