For example, transporting them to school, college or appointments, making their home a clean, warm and cosy environment, cooking meals and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies.

The role will involve working a range of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays and sleep in duties.

The essential qualifications and requirements for the post are:

• Minimum age of 22.
• NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this.
• Full UK driving licence and use of a car.
• Ability to undertake shift work, including sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays.
• Experience of working in a children’s residential setting is desirable but not essential.

Evolve Residential is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks (including references) and an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (“DBS”) check will be undertaken.
