This is a specialist Teaching Assistant within our VI Team to support pupils with a Vision Impairment to support access the curriculum.

You will be able to demonstrate resilience, initiative, patience and a passion for working with and assisting young people to learn. In return we offer good opportunities for career progression.

You must have proven literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to GCSE: Grade 4 -9/Grade C and above. You should also hold a full driving licence and access to transport as you will be required to travel between schools.

A working knowledge of Braille and/or the modification of resources for large print users is desirable, but not essential as training will be given. Additionally, there will be the opportunity for you to gain accreditation in Braille and associated skills to support pupils with vision impairment.
