We are looking to appoint Child & Family workers to support our Young Persons Team. This is a full time position.

Child & Family Workers are integral to our delivery of ‘Outstanding’ services to our children, young people and their families. We are looking to recruit an individuals who has experience of working with young people and families in need of help and support, with the commitment to deliver good quality interventions and services.

Working alongside social workers, there will be an expectation that you will work with young people and their parents in a creative way, gaining their views through good direct work. The Young Persons Team is a specialist team which works with young people who experience risk outside of the home; young people who are being criminally and sexually exploited, gang association and experience peer on peer abuse. These risks and worries can impact upon young people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health and lead to alcohol and substance misuse, affect school attendance and relationships within the family.

The successful candidate will be skilled in building meaningful relationships with young people, their families and professionals and have a good understanding of contextual safeguarding. The team works closely with our MSET and Missing co-ordinators.

Experience of delivering interventions with young people to effect change is desirable but not essential as you will benefit from inhouse training and support. You will need to work collaboratively with partner agencies and demonstrate an ability to maintain clear and concise records.

You will join a team of Social Workers and will benefit from a high level of support and guidance from a Team Manager.

Please note, driving is essential to this role.
