We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious person to join our school premises team at Highfield Academy as a Site Supervisor. You will work alongside the Site Supervisor already in place, and the Trust Facilities Manager to assist in looking after the maintenance of our premises and grounds. Highfield Academy is part of IRIS Learning Trust, with Valley Road Academy and Teesville Academy.

This is a highly valued and responsible position requiring a team player who has very high standards, shows initiative and is capable of problem solving. Having a proactive approach and strong practical skills are essential. A full driving licence is essential (you will be required to undertake an assessment and test to drive a 16 -seater minibus). You must also have a commitment to your own professional development and be willing to undertake any training to support you in your role. The successful candidate may be required to work across two schools in the Trust and to work additional hours to cover holidays and absences when necessary. As this is a busy school, your own annual leave must be taken in school holiday periods.

Visits to the school prior to application are welcomed and can be arranged by contacting the school.

IRIS Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. Shortlisted staff will be also have an online check carried out and will be required to complete a criminal records self-declaration checklist.
An application pack can be requested from Ian Davies ian.davies@irislearningtrust.org.uk
Packs can also be collected from the school reception or downloaded from our website.

E Mail copies are accepted but you will be asked to sign your application if shortlisted when you attend for interview.
