Are you a skilled Carpentry and Joinery professional with a passion for education? New College Durham is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise and inspire the next generation of carpenters and joiners.
The College itself is one of the leading further education colleges in the North East and continues to be at the forefront of new initiatives, being the only College in the North East to offer all the new T Levels in Early Years, Digital and Construction and will be increasing the T Level offer next year to include Health. The College is also the lead institution for the North East Institute of Technology (NEIoT). It has foundation degree awarding powers and has extensive delivery of European Social Funding (ESF) programmes.
We focus on providing training and education that creates the best outcomes for students and gives them the skills and behaviours they need for long term success in a global economy.
The post holder will join an established and highly successful team of educational professionals, within it they will contribute to the teaching, learning and assessment of carpentry and joinery qualifications that align to specifications from City and Guilds and NOCN working with FE students and apprentices predominantly although not exclusively. With a growing department and a growing skills need in Construction nationally there has never been a better time to work within our construction team.
