WHAT IS INVOLVED?
We are looking to appoint a temporary Senior Support Worker to be responsible for the day to day supervision of the Direct Payments Support Workers, this role will include the co-ordination and allocation of work and be responsible for formal staff supervisions, support worker meetings, managing sickness absence and annual leave. The post holder will be a member of the Direct Payments Team within Adults and Health Services.
The role is varied, customer focused and includes providing support and practical help to staff of the department and service users, in addition to taking on aspects of the Support Worker role as required.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate leadership experience and be able to work under pressure.
Required Qualifications :
5 GCSEs including English Language (9-5/A-C grades) or equivalent relevant qualification.

NVQ/Apprenticeship level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification
If successful, you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure

HYBRID WORKING
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply.
