Further Information
Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and need dedicated, driven and committed staff to help us achieve that. As a Family Network Facilitator you will be passionate about supporting families to come up with their best ideas to develop family led plans.
Your role will involve assisting social workers and family support workers with the development of support networks around children, young people and their families, including the facilitation of meetings to enable family led planning and decision making. You will work from a strengths and relationship based approach to find networks, bring them together and help develop long lasting plans which are owned by the family. You will need to be self- motivated, dynamic and organised, with passion to help empower children and families to make positive changes in their lives.
You must be child centred, able to champion best practice and be confident in leading meetings to ensure that the best plans are implemented for children. You will be committed to partnership working with families and other agencies. We were rated Good in our Inspection of Local Authority Children’s Services (ILACS) with Outstanding for children in care and care leavers. We have a strong and effective culture, are a collaborative team and pride ourselves on the highly supportive and relational way of working both within the organisation and with our children and families, as such you will be part of a forward thinking and supportive team where supervision, training and opportunities for professional development are valued.
We have a flexible working model through the Council’s hybrid working policy allowing staff to work in the office and at home.
Hartlepool Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This post is subject to safer recruitment measures, including an enhanced DBS barring list check.
