The Role: You will be part of an innovative team working with vulnerable customers living in our supported living schemes, you will provide excellent person-centred support to customers in order to improve their quality of life and enable independent living for longer. You will be the first point of contact for customers and stakeholders and will need to liaise with a range of organisations.
The position: We are looking to recruit relief workers to cover pool shifts across our supported housing schemes, shifts include; Mon – Fri 8am-4pm shifts in our learning disability, older and young persons schemes Mon – Sun 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-5pm, 3pm-11pm, 4pm-12, 11-15pm-8.15am night shift in our young peoples scheme.
The Person: Passionate and experienced with working with older and vulnerable people, with great communication skills and an understanding of how good housing can enhance customer's lives. You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, customer focussed and the ability to work in partnership with an onsite care team.

An organisational review is currently being undertaken by Newcastle City Council on the services delivered by YHN, which is expected to conclude over the next 12 months.
