An exciting opportunity has arisen to be the Team Manager of a busy Financial Safeguarding Team discharging the responsibilities as required by Office of the Public Guardian for customers for whom the Local Authority have responsibility.
The team forms part of a wider function within the Health Housing and Communities Directorate working closely with colleagues in Adult Social Care. We are looking for a competent, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a proven track record of working within a team managing Court of Protection, Appointeeship, General Power of Attorney, Financial Safeguarding, Protection of Property, Public Health Funerals and Personal Expenditure Allowance within timescales and quality standards.
The role will involve management of the Financial Safeguarding Team as well as being the lead point of contact for all matters in relation to Financial Safeguarding functions both within the Local Authority and with external stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for delivering effective working practices and processes within the team to maximise the quality of service delivered to residents.
You will need to be able to demonstrate current experience of working within a similar role and the ability to be able to line manage staff and service outcomes.
Candidates will also need to be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with partner organisations such as the Police, Office of the Public Guardian and other external agencies. Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills will be key requirements of the role.
