About the role….
An opportunity has arisen for the position of a School Crossing Patrol on Coatsworth Road. Sustainable Transport & Road Safety team are looking for active and dedicated people to help keep children and their families safe on their way to and from school. School Crossing Patrols are an important part of encouraging active travel. Patrols work both mornings and afternoons and work in all weather conditions.
A vacancy exists for a permanent part-time School Crossing Patrol to work at Coatsworth Road, Gateshead.
Salary amounts quoted are from 1 Sep – 31 Aug and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday
08:45 – 09:15 AM
15:10 – 16:35 PM
Term Time only 1 hour 55 minutes per day and 9 hours 35 minutes per week.
You will receive full training, uniform and will be paid on a pro-rata salary ensuring payment throughout school holidays.
No formal qualification are needed just the ability to have a natural rapport with children, adults, drivers and teachers alongside an awareness of road safety. We will train successful applicants in the professional skills to confidently manage the traffic.
