Join our Performance and Information Team!

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join South Tyneside Council as a key member of the corporate Performance and Information Team to help us deliver against our priorities through our new, enhanced, performance framework!

Now is a great time to join us at the Council.  We are a determined authority with many examples of excellent service delivery and partnership working.  However, there is still plenty to do, and we have a strong appetite for continuous learning and improvement.  We are building on our many strengths through our ambitious ‘Our Council’ change and modernisation programme.  A key part of this is ensuring the Council has robust performance frameworks and top-quality management information to drive improvements.

This post sits within the valued corporate Performance and Information Team and will support Adult Social Care and Commissioning to make a real difference by making the best use of our performance data to provide oversight and assurance and support evidence-based decision-making by working with senior managers who will really value the support you provide.

You will be working to develop and maintain MS PowerBI reports, dashboards and scorecards that help senior managers make data-driven decisions.  You will support an established Directorate Performance Framework but the changing world of Adult Social Care means that this is always a moving project.  You will play a crucial role in Adult Social Care by enabling evidence-based decision-making, enhancing service quality and optimising resource allocation to ensure that local people receive the personalised and effective support they need.  You will also represent the Council as our data lead at a regional level to support the NEADASS in improving outcomes across the North East.  This is a great opportunity for the right person to develop their career and networks in the world of local authority data.

You will have excellent analytical and IT skills and be able to present data in an effective and engaging way.  You will provide excellent customer service across a range of services, including Council partnerships, and have the ability to maintain strong, productive relationships with key customers.  We are looking for an individual who has a genuine understanding and enthusiasm about the use of data to support improved service delivery and outcomes.

We would love to hear from you if are you are a positive, motivated, solutions-focused team player with a strong background and skills in performance management and particularly if you have experience of data in Adult Social Care.

Interviews will be held on Friday 15 December 2023.
