About the role….

An opportunity has arisen for the position of a School Crossing Patrol outside St Augustine’s RCVA Primary School. Sustainable Transport & Road Safety team are looking for active and dedicated people to help keep children and their families safe on their way to and from school. School Crossing Patrols are an important part of encouraging active travel. Patrols work both mornings and afternoons and work in all weather conditions.

The hours of duty 5 hours and 25 minutes to be worked each week (term-time only) are: 8.25 am to 9.05 am and 15.05 pm to 15.30 pm Monday to Friday. If successful you will receive full-training and uniform. 

Punctuality, good communication skills, good community spirit and road sense are essential for this post.
You will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.

No formal qualification are needed just the ability to have a natural rapport with children, adults, drivers and teachers alongside an awareness of road safety. We will train successful applicants in the professional skills to confidently manage the traffic.
