Apprentice (Lift Administration Technician)
Passionate about Business? Consider a Business Administrator Apprenticeship working as a Lift Administration Technician in an exclusive industry!

As an Apprentice Lift Administration Technician, you will join Durham County Council’s highly skilled Lift Section team in our Building and Facilities Maintenance Service. The Lift Section team complete repairs, servicing, and installation of lifting equipment such as lifts, hoists, stairlifts, hospital beds and much more. You will assist with the administration tasks within the team, and have the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge, and experience in a very unique, exclusive industry.

Your day-to-day duties will include developing the skills to use multiple IT packages and in-house systems specific to the Lift team, producing accurate records and documents including e-mails, letters, reports, and proposals, and making recommendations for improvements. You will also ensure all activities comply with external/statutory requirements as well as Durham County Council’s policy & procedures. We will support you as you study towards a Business Administrator Level 3.

What qualification will I gain?
As part of your apprenticeship, you will study towards a Business Administration Level 3 with DurhamLearn.

What will I need?
You must either have or expect to achieve 4 GCSEs at grades 9-4/A*-C including Maths and English, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification, together with good communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
