About the role

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Team Manager to ourSocial Care Academy.  This is an exciting venture where you will play a key role in developing the offer for Newly Qualified Social Workers and Social Care Apprenticeships in Gateshead. 

 

You must have significant experience of practicing statutory childcare social work in a multi-disciplinary setting and and have demonstrable skills in delivering interventions with complex families, the ability to analyse and evaluate risk and feel comfortable in making justifiable professional decisions whilst working with reasonable levels of autonomy. 

 

We expect the knowledge base of applicants to demonstrate expert understanding of social work legislation, family court processes and statutory guidance, assessment and social work methodologies, including systemic and relational approaches.

It is essential that you are a Level 3 social worker and have a recognised Social Work Qualification or equivalent (SW Degree, CQSW, Dip SW or CSS) and can demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) .  You must hold a Practice Educator Level 2 or be willing to work towards it.

 

About the team

You will lead, manage and support NQSWs and Apprenticeships across the wider social work workforce, co-ordinating their learning, development and assessment whilst keeping up to date with latest learning and research.
