A skilled, thoughtful and enthusiastic qualified teaching assistant  is required to join our highly successful, well established, hard working and experienced peripatetic team supporting children with hearing and / or vision impairment in schools and settings across North Tyneside.  Experience in this field is desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate would work across a range of age groups and educational settings.  Candidates must be able to work as part of a well informed team. The post involves travelling between settings.
 
Candidates must be committed to continuing professional development. 
 
The successful candidate will be given a full induction and professional development programme. The service is committed to safeguarding all pupils.  The successful candidate will need to carry out the Service’s Code of Conduct and have DBS clearance.
 
Please note applicants must hold a teaching assistant qualification or equivalent, and a current driving license. Experience of working with hearing and / or visually impaired children is desirable, but full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
