An opportunity has arisen for a Flood Risk Engineer to assist in the management of flood risk across the Borough.
 
As a Flood Risk Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing flood risk and promoting the use of sustainable drainage systems. Day to day you will be investigating incidents of flooding, providing statutory consultee advice to the planning department, inspecting assets, managing flood risk schemes, dealing with enquiries from members of the public, and managing land drainage consents.
 
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Environment Agency, Northumbrian Water, Private Developers, Emergency Planning, Elected Members, and the public, you will deliver high-quality services and maintain customer satisfaction across the Borough.

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work a percentage of their working time away from the office.
