The Highway Asset Management Section is responsible for the maintenance of highways, bridges, street lighting and public rights of way within the Borough.
You will be involved in the design and implementation of a wide range of highway maintenance schemes and contracts and involved in the checking of highway construction and design in relation to private developments.
You should be IT literate (capable of using Microsoft Office applications including Word/Excel etc) and have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences both verbally and in writing. The ability to work accurately and with attention to detail is essential for this post, along with the ability to organise your own work with minimum supervision.
These are multi-graded posts encompassing grades 1, 5, & 8,9. The grade for the post will be determined by the level of knowledge and experience the post holder can demonstrate in relation to the job description / person specification.
Assistant Engineer Band 9 = £33,024 - £35,745
Senior Technician Band 8 = £29,777 - £32,076 p.a.
Technician Band 5= £24,294 - £23,893 p.a.
Assistant Technician Band 1= £22,737 p.a
