The Customer Services Team are looking to recruit a full time permanent Customer Services Assistant. The post will be required to work at the Contact Centre, Civic Centre, Crook.

WHAT IS INVOLVED:

You will provide a first point of contact for customers accessing the service through a variety of channels. We are looking for enthusiastic and customer focussed individuals with a positive attitude and the ability to deal with a range of customer enquiries working with services to ensure their resolution, acting as the customer advocate when appropriate and supporting effective service delivery.

Excellent communicators, you will be required to demonstrate tact and diplomacy. You will be the first point of contact for many customers; therefore, a good understanding of council services will be beneficial. You will also be expected to deal with a complex range of issues sensitively and confidentially handling areas of conflict appropriately.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Candidates should have 4 GCSE's Graded A-C or equivalent.

HYBRID WORKING:

Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
