Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for Support Workers to join the Day Opportunities Service here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. The service is responsible for supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs within the structure of a day service.
We have sites in Thornaby, Stockton, Ragworth and Billingham.

In this role you will be providing direct support to individuals, delivering engaging and developmental activities such as arts and crafts, glass and textiles, sporting activities, Makaton, prescribed therapies, community engagement, educational activities, music, quiz’ and more!

Our aim is to ensure all people accessing our services are provided with the highest quality of care with a focus on them having their best day.

This is a varied and rewarding role with the benefit of being able to work daytime hours Monday – Friday with no shift work or weekend work.

Successful applicants would be expected to work across Allensway and Community Based Options to meet the demands of the service.

We will provide you with on the job training specific to the role, all you need to be a success is:
• NVQ Level 2 in Adult Social Care or equivalent
• Experience of working in a care setting
• Good communications skills
• Empathy and a person-centred approach to support our service users.
