Grade 7-8 (SCP 26-36) £34,834 - £44,428 pro rata per annum plus an Essential Car User Allowance: £1239 per annum and 2% Recruitment and Retention Allowance.

This is an exciting and challenging time to join our OFSTED rated Good, Independent Adoption Agency-Together For Children Adoption Sunderland. Together for Children have been commissioned by Sunderland City Council to provide adoption services for children and young people in Sunderland.
The agency, established in April 2017 provides an ideal opportunity to be innovative and do things differently to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families. We are looking for skilled and experienced Social Workers who have the passion and drive to ensure that children in Sunderland who we care for, and provide adoptive homes for, achieve the best outcomes, and receive high quality services. The main tasks of the post will be the recruitment, training, assessment Family finding and post adoption support of adopters and children. You will be working in an experienced, established and supportive team working with Children, foster carers, social workers and adopters. Laptops and mobile phones are provided to every social worker to make mobile and flexible working easier. We have introduced a career progression scheme which is underpinned by a professional learning and development plan. We ensure that all social workers receive regular, high-quality supervision.
The role involves travelling and a clean driving license and access to a car is required to be considered for the post. Applicants must have experience in the completion of good quality evidence-based assessments, hold a recognised Social Work qualification to degree level and previous links to the Adoption environment would be advantageous.
