We are recruiting to our Support to Independence Team and are looking for a suitably skilled, experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Support to Independence team, working alongside a team of Housing Support Workers within Together for Children’s internal supported accommodation provisions.
You will work as part of a team on a rota, providing direct day to day supportive tasks and duties to young people, such as advice and guidance on benefit claims and employment/training opportunities.
You will undertake the role of link worker and develop risk assessments, undertake planned formal one to one work to ensure that individualised independent living skills of young people are progressed to be able to live independently and maintain their own tenancy.
You will encourage, coach and mentor young people to engage in the support offered and learn skills that will assist them with independent living.
The role requires flexible working hours, including some weekends and bank holidays.
This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
