A vacancy has arisen in the North Tyneside Council Statutory Team for a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional.

This well-established AMHP team works a 3-day 12-hour shift pattern Monday to Friday. You would work in a team of other Approved Mental Health Professionals who carry out statutory duties under the Mental Health Act, Care Act and North Tyneside safeguarding proceedings. There would be small caseload.

The successful candidate would be expected to participate in the AMHP out of hours rota which include evenings, weekend, and bank holidays.
  • Out of Hours work is a payment of £100 per session. 
Required qualification:
Professional Qualification: Degree in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, CSS or CQSW or equivalent. Plus, Approved Mental Health Professional qualification: Social Work England registration or be applying for registration.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and an Enhanced DBS disclosure, including Barred List Check, will be required.
