A vacancy has arisen within Business Services for a full-time Administration Assistant.

THE ROLE:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team supporting the Facilities Management team. The role requires you to work at both County Hall and Meadowfield Depot.

The duties include:
  • Placing orders, raising invoices, dealing with invoice queries
  • Administering the access control system
  • Creating staff ID’s and granting access to DCC sites
  • Updating risk assessments on the intrant
  • Monitoring an inbox and dealing with queries
  • Providing general administrative support to the Facilities Management team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in providing excellent customer-service. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy, be well-organised and flexible, have good IT skills and manage changing priorities. You will also need to be able to work unsupervised using your initiative.

WHAT WILL I NEED:

You must have 5 GCSEs (grades A-C) or equivalent.

HYBRID WORKING:

Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy, for this specific role you will be required to be in the workplace for 3 to 4 days per week subject to the needs of the service, with remote working arrangements for the remainder of the day(s). This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
