We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our Local Services and Waste Management team in delivering a high-quality service within our HWRC sites.

The work is varied and also requires good communication skills, ability to work in all weathers, use own initiative, work as part of a team and able to demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety.

About us:
We have three sites where Newcastle residents can recycle waste.
Our recycling centres are open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Each site has its own set of opening and closing times.
Brunswick recycling centre opens:
8am to 6pm
Byker recycling centre opens: 
8am to 6pm
Walbottle recycling centre opens:
9am to 6pm

This is a 2 on 4 off shift pattern, across 3 HWRC sites across the city. 

The role requires flexibility and have the capability of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying. Staff hours are 07:30 – 18:30.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate their skills against the essential and desirable criteria within the person specification.
