Hartlepool Borough Council have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse to join our team as a Specialist Heath Visitor Substance Misuse working across our 0-19 Early Help Service and Substance Misuse Service.
You will have significant experience of working as a Health Visitor, with caseload management, and an underpinning knowledge of the impact of substance misuse on the physical and emotional development of children aged 0-19 and their families.
You will play a key role in developing family and relationship focused care related to substance misuse, which includes support to children, parents and partners, ensuring advocacy for families by providing direct therapeutic and educational interventions, and a training & support role within 0-19 health and wider services.
You will work as part of the leadership team, supporting clinical practice leads to ensure best practice standards are embedded across Hartlepool, improving health and tackling inequalities for children and their families.
You will be committed to delivering high quality evidence based practice, maintaining current knowledge of local and national policy drivers affecting the 0-19 population, particularly in relation to substance misuse.
