Ford School Governors would like to appoint a Lower Key Stage 2 teacher to join our friendly and experienced team at a great rural first school. Our School Vision is ‘Love one another – Love learning – Love nature’ and that sums up our approach in school where we value kindness, persistence and respect.
We need a flexible, team player for a mixed Year 3 and 4 class with a range of abilities. The small class enjoys practical activities and learning outdoors; we are fortunate in having a forest on the school grounds to facilitate this. It would be an advantage for candidates to have experience of working with children with SEND and who are familiar with trauma informed practice. The class is supported by an experienced teaching assistant for most of the week.
Variable hours contract, initially 0.9 FTE: currently working all week except Friday afternoon.
This will be a fixed-term contract: to cover maternity leave from March 2024. We would also consider an experienced teacher on secondment.
The contract is with a voluntary aided First School.
