The Headteacher and Governors of Crookhill Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN in Key Stage 2.  We are looking for a flexible and dedicated professional who will work alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support to pupils.  The position is primarily linked to supporting a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but may also involve working with pupils in small groups.  You will need to plan, deliver and monitor work to meet the needs of their EHCP or IEPs, as well as adapting materials to support the pupil’s learning and development.
We are looking for someone with:
• Experience of working with children, preferably in a classroom setting 
• Good basic skills in Mathematics and English – GCSE or equivalent 
• An understanding of the National Curriculum for KS1 and KS2
• Patience and empathy
• Understanding of children’s individual learning abilities
• Good communication skills

Salary amounts quoted are from 1st September to 31st August; if you commence employment part way through the academic year they will be subject to an equated salary adjustment.
