The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint a highly committed, enthusiastic, talented practitioner to support the teaching and learning at this award winning Nursery School. Our friendly and welcoming Centre offers seamless education, care and learning where there are high expectations and aspirations for raising children’s achievement.
 
Temporary Early Years Practitioner (to cover maternity leave)
 
Term Time only post (37 hours per week) starting January 2024
Grade 2, Points 5-6, £21,575-£21,968 (Level 3 qualified) (pro rata for Term Time only post)
 
The post holder will work within the Early Years team to deliver the key principles of effective teaching, learning and welfare requirements across the Centre, so to improve outcomes for all children. The position is to support and contribute to the teaching, learning and care of children from Birth to Five years, by outstanding Early Years practice, good organisational and interpersonal skills.
 
A minimum relevant (DfE validated) Early Years Level 3 qualification is required, together with a minimum of 2 year’s relevant experience of working with young children (Birth to 5). A Maths and English qualification at Grade C or above (old grades) or Grade 4 or above (new grades) is required if the childcare qualification has been achieved after September 2014. Knowledge of the Revised EYFS and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) is essential. A Paediatric First Aid Certificate is a desirable requirement.
