This is an exciting opportunity for you to lead our children’s homes managers and be part of our journey to expand our residential provision for children in care in Newcastle. You will be innovative, creative and lead on the development of our residential provision.

You will support and provide management and leadership for the children’s homes to ensure children in care get the best possible outcomes, embedding our trauma informed care approaches in day to day practice.   You will ensure the homes comply with all the statutory requirements and regulations and support each home through the Ofsted inspection process.  

We are looking for someone who is an experienced, dynamic and motivated manager who wants to make a positive difference to the lives of children in care and their families. You will have an excellent understanding of the needs of children in care and the Children’s Home Regulations. 

You will lead a dedicated team of home managers providing opportunities to share good practice and promote a consistent approach to caring for our children in care.   You will motivate teams and individuals by providing clear direction, delegation and guidance whilst valuing the skills and experience of our children’s home teams. 

You will understand the need to work collaboratively to meet the sufficiency duty to provide a coherent and coordinated response to the demand for placements for children in care.

You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as collaboratively with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.
