Staff morale is high, with staff welcoming open conversations about meeting the needs of individual pupils as well as groups of pupils that they are teaching, and they welcome leaders' encouragement and the evaluation and sharing of what works.
Staff enjoy working at the school and appreciate how leaders consider their workload and provide good professional development opportunities
OFSTED October 2024 stated, " The school has a calm, welcoming environment where pupils thrive. Pupils feel safe and get the care and support they need. Pupils say they no longer worry about coming to school. The school is a place where pupils can be themselves, learn, and be happy. Pupil behaviour is excellent.
Pupils work hard, respect staff, and are determined to succeed. Staff have high expectations and want pupils to do their best. The school's values of relationships, respect, and resilience are shown by pupils throughout the school. Pupils feel 'seen' and 'listened to'. There has been a remarkable change in pupils' attitudes to learning and attendance.
The school is calm, and pupils learn without disruption. Pupils learn to manage their own emotions and behaviours, showing high levels of self-control and maturity. The school has a well-planned approach to improving pupil attendance, and pupils with very poor attendance now attend every day."
