WHAT IS INVOLVED?
School governors play a key role in leading our schools. The Governing Board’s core functions include, ensuring:

You will need the time to commit to the role – for monitoring, ongoing training and development and a minimum of three termly meetings. It is the Local Authority’s expectation that as a Governor of a maintained school, you will complete new Governor Induction training within the first 12 months of having taken up your role.

We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
  • Critical listening and ability to ask effective questions
  • Strategic thinking
