Tritlington Church of England First school is a small, rural school in a wonderful setting just north of Morpeth close to the A1.
 
We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant who will provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, to be part of the support staff team to assist teachers in facilitating teaching and learning activities.  The successful candidate will be passionate about special educational needs and ensuring children reach their full potential and be the best they can be.
 
Post available:
To start as soon as possible in January 2025, contract 32.5 hours per week.
This is a fixed term post until August 2026.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who:
  • will put the needs of children first, and have a belief that all children can succeed
  • is compassionate, patient and understanding
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • has the ability to adapt learning activities to suit the needs of the child
  • has experience of working with children with SEND  
  • has a commitment to inclusion and can demonstrate this in practice
  • is a good communicator and can work as part of a team, using their own initiative
  • will maintain the Christian ethos of the school
