Project Worker (Stop Smoking Coordinator)

Fixed Term - 2 years
Purpose:
To support the system-wide approach to prevent and minimise the harm caused by smoking to the Sunderland population. To safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Responsibilities:
Service Coordination:
- Coordinate the provision of stop smoking services within each of the five Family Hubs and spoke delivery sites.
- Support Family Hub workers in delivering stop smoking services.
- Ensure weekly clinics are available for those accessing the Family Hubs and for residents within the locality.
Client Support:
- Deliver telephone and face-to-face support for clients.
- Promote the provision of stop smoking clinics to all service users and the local community using various methods, including online, physical assets on-site, and in person.
Promotion and Outreach:
- Promote stop smoking messages within Family Hubs and across Together for Children.
- Disseminate promotional materials for relevant local and national campaigns.
- Attend and arrange events and activities to promote stop smoking services and disseminate messages related to the harms of smoking.
- Arrange the production of bespoke promotional materials to promote stop smoking services, linking with local, regional, and national campaigns.
Partnerships:
Work in partnership with the Tobacco Dependence Treatment Service (TDTS), Specialist Stop Smoking Service (SSSS) and other agencies
These posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. You must be over 21 to comply with the Children’s Homes Regulations.
