We are seeking a Head of Distributional Analysis to join the Labour Markets and Distributional Analysis team within HM Treasury.

About the Team

  5. Oversee maintenance and strategic development of the team’s key models, including expanding the use of data science techniques and developing new models to answer critical questions for policy making. Working knowledge of SAS, R or similar software is highly advantageous.
  6. Building positive relationships across Treasury, other departments, external organisations, and beyond, ensuring our work and modelling capability is robust, relevant to and influences policy development and wider narrative. Our work provides an attractive blend of high-profile cross-cutting policy thinking and detailed analytical challenge

You will also have the ability to lead an analytical team to deliver high quality and strategically important analysis through periods of uncertainty or high pressure. Building relationships and communicating complex analysis clearly and persuasively to our partners is key.
