The Governors of Wingate Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic & hardworking Caretaker to join our successful school following the resignation of the current post holder. The successful candidate will be reliable, well organised and have good communication and practical handyperson skills. 

We are a Gold Rights Respecting School and you will be required to work with staff, children and other visitors in school in a respectful manner and promote the rights of children at all times.

Our school is on two sites and although the vacant post is currently based at the Church Street site you will also be required to undertake duties at the Moor Lane site. 

Key Responsibilities cover areas of:
• Security of premises
• Key holder responsibilities
• Health & Safety
• Grounds maintenance
• Minor repairs
• Cleaning
• Operation of heating systems
• Porterage duties 
  
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
