We have a fantastic opportunity for three Community Bridge Builders to join our team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
 
STEPs is an innovative and forward thinking Community Bridge Building and Employment Support Service providing support to adults with disabilities, people over 50 and those with autism and Aspergers who live in the Borough of Stockton. We offer individuals one to one support, practical advice, and guidance to help access opportunities and overcome barriers to social inclusion.

We currently have the following opportunities available:
1x Community Bridge Builder - Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)
Actual salary £28,624 - £30,060

2x Community Bridge Builder - Permanent, Part Time (22 hours per week)
Pro rata actual salary £17,019.68 - £17,873.51

In this role you will encourage independence and social inclusion within the wider community. The ideal candidate will be able to provide a high standard of person centred support to facilitate any recreational, leisure or employment activities and encourage independence and social inclusion within the wider community. The ideal candidate will have the ability to engage and work one to one, and be able to provide a high standard of person centred support to facilitate any community and employment activities.

The successful applicant will join an established and highly motivated team based in the community, applicants will provide direct support to the people we work with, be enthusiastic and have previous experience of working with individuals who may have complex needs. Good communication skills, a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a busy team.

The post will include some unsociable hours including weekends.
