Subject Lead Science
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and inspiring Science Lead to join our Sunderland School. Our successful candidate will have a recognised, relevant  DfE teaching qualification and a secure knowledge and understanding of the science curriculum across all key stages.

With the ability to design and teach effective lessons and plan inspiring learning activities across the curriculum, age and ability ranges, you will help our learners achieve exceptional results.
The pay scale is dependent on relevant teaching experience and will be discussed during interview
 
This position also attracts an SEN Allowance and a TLR2a allowance and is full time in accordance with Teachers' Pay and Conditions.
 
Pastoral Officer
Full time (37 hours Monday to Friday) Term time only plus 5 additional days, N6 SCP 20-24 £31,586 - £34,314 pro-rata £27,121 - £29,464 per annum
 
With specialist skills, training or experience in behaviour management and SEN, we are looking for a Pastoral Officer to join our team in Sunderland.

Our successful candidate will ideally have well established de-escalation strategies and recent experience of working in an SEMH environment. The ability to identify potential barriers to learning and to devise strategies to enable pupils to overcome these barriers is essential along with well-developed emotional intelligence skills and knowledge of systems and processes around safeguarding children and young people.

A minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C or above or equivalent (Must include English & Maths) is required for this post.

Teaching & Learning Support Practitioners (Permanent & Fixed term posts)
Full time (37 hours Monday to Friday) Term time only plus 5 additional days, N5 SCP13 – 17 £28,163 - £30,060 pro rata £24,182 - £25,811 per annum.

We are looking for friendly, approachable and calm individuals to join our team as teaching & learning support practitioners. Previous experience of working in an SEMH environment and managing pupil behaviour would be an advantage.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate that they can build and maintain successful working relationships with learners and treat them consistently and with respect and consideration.

Ideally you will have or be working towards NVQ level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or have an equivalent qualification or experience.
A minimum of Level 2 Basic Skills in Literacy and Numeracy is required for this role
