We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Visual Arts faculty to provide technical support, workshop delivery and supervision to students in the creative, safe and correct use of the processes and materials associated with the multi-disciplinary nature of contemporary textiles, surface pattern and print making. The successful candidate will display knowledge in the subject of print / textiles specialisms, possessing a skills base which covers the technical, practical and digital aspects of this role. The duties will include preparing and delivering demonstration and creative workshops (digital & practical), supporting academic staff during practical sessions, supporting the use of the print/ textile department within the curriculum, maintenance of equipment, maintaining and supervising the safe and efficient operation of the department and providing technical support in the development of practical work with the students.

The successful candidate would likely have a Degree in Textiles or a related print making subject, digital proficient across Adobe Creative Suite with a GCSE in Maths and English. Alternatively, a candidate without a Degree classification but with extensive demonstrable technical experience in print making or the textiles industry will also be considered. The ideal candidate should also have excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
