The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 5 Admin Manager within the Residential and Family Placement Service based in Ashington. You will be responsible for the line management and supervision of Residential and Family Placement Admin staff, reporting directly to the countywide Admin Service Lead. This is a busy admin team, providing essential day to day administrative support. Your tasks will include:
· Organising and managing a team of administrative staff, delegating work appropriately.
· Manage induction, appraisal, supervision, training, development and performance of the team.
· Responsible for the induction and training of new members of the administrative team.
· Manage the Imprest Account, County Income, Non-County Income and complete the necessary financial returns.
· Coordinate health and safety matters for the office, including fire precautions, security systems, risk assessments.
· Manage and operate information systems.
· Assist Admin Service Lead with the recruitment of staff to Family Placement and residential children's homes.

Essential requirements:
à NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a business-related discipline or relevant experience.
à Experience in a similar role covering a broad range of support tasks and procedures.
à Previous experience of supervising staff, including recruitment and appraisals.
à A good general education demonstrating numeracy and literacy.
à A sound working knowledge of computerised systems.
à Experience of financial systems and be able to provide budgetary information to a high standard.
à Organise self and work without constant supervision.
à Good verbal and written communication.
