Hartlepool Borough Council is looking to employ a part time Caretaker who is energetic, flexible and eager to support our team which is based within the Centre of Independent Living / Waverley Terrace Allotment
 
Applicants should be highly motivated and forward thinking, who will ensure the building and facilities are ‘spot’ cleaned and maintained, both internally and externally, to the highest standard to allow people who use the service, staff and visitors to work in a safe and pleasant environment. 
 
General Caretaking duties to include: 
  • minor repairs & maintenance,
  • ensuring that the premises remain compliant with health & safety regulations.
  • security/opening and closing of the building
  • the cleaning of toilets. 
  • Preparing rooms for events, meetings and conferences is also a key responsibility and as such, will require some work to be undertaken on evenings and weekends.
 
The successful applicant will have access to regular training and developmental opportunities as well as receiving regular supervision and an annual appraisal.
